Huawei has been doing really great as far as smartphone sales go in the last year or so. The company has managed to improve in various areas lately, and that’s more than visible in their sales numbers. Devices like Honor 6, Honor 6 Plus, Ascend P7 and Mate 7 have been in high-demand ever since they launched (in 2014), and Huawei has already released a number of new smartphones this year. The company has released the whole line of P8 device, the Honor 4C mid-ranger, and 2 mid-range tablets. The company’s has already released the Android-powered smartwatch, the Huawei Watch.
That being said, we’ve seen a number of leaks regarding the Honor 7 device which is supposed to be announced in the next couple of months. Well, we now have some new info to share with you, read on. The specifications of this device have leaked, and it seems like we’ll get two version of the device, the regular model will be announced in June, and the high-end one in July. Both variants of the device will sport a metal unibody build, and it seems like Huawei will use aircraft grade metal in order to build it. The regular and high-end variant of the device will sport almost identical specifications on the inside, the only difference will be in the amount of RAM available.
Both versions of Honor 7 will reportedly feature a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, 16GB of internal storage, and will be powered by Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 935 octa-core processor. The 13-megapixel OIS camera will be located on the back of these devices, and will be flanked by a dual-LED flash. Android 5.0 Lollipop will come pre-installed here with Huawei’s Emotion UI 3.0 skin on top of Google’s OS. You can also expect a 3,280mAH battery on the inside, and 4G LTE connectivity will also be available here. The regular variant of the device will ship with 3GB of RAM, while a high-end model will sport 4GB of RAM. The higher-end model could also be available in various internal storage variants, so you can expect a 32GB model as well, perhaps even a 64GB variant.
The regular version is said to be announced next month, and according to rumors, Huawei will price it at 1,999 Yuan ($322). The higher-end model will land in July, and will reportedly be priced at 2,699 Yuan ($435).
