A new leak that has surfaced today seems to suggest that Motorola is currently testing out two new smartphones which they have set to arrive on the Verizon Wireless network sometime in the future, both of which are said to be powered by Qualcomm’s most recent processors, the Snapdragon 808 hexa-core CPU and the Snapdragon 810 octa-core CPU. In addition to both of these potential specifications, each device is said to have a Quad-HD screen on board. If this is true, it wouldn’t be Motorola’s first set of devices with a 2K resolution display, as the current DROID Turbo already runs through Verizon’s network and boasts a QHD screen.
Neither device seems to have a name according to the leak post, and are only listed simply as XT1578 or XT1097 (both codenamed Clark), and XT1585 (codenamed Kinzie). The first device is listed with a screen height of 2392 with a screen width of 1440. According to the listed details it also has a DPI 560, which wouldn’t be too hard to believe since the DROID Turbo, a phone that is already released, carries a pixel density of 565. It’s also reportedly supporting Bluetooth low energy and runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop as the OS version and is powered by the hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor.
In regards to the second device, codename Kinzie, this is also listed as running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop for the OS version, but instead of the Snapdragon 808 it’s listed as running with the octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor. The screen height is listed as bit lower at 2368 but it carries the same screen width of 1440, however it supposedly comes with a pixel density of 640 which is much higher than that of the other unknown device which makes the QHD resolution rather curious for such a small screen size. It’s also listed as supporting Bluetooth low energy. Unfortunately these are all the details on the two phones at the moment, with not other possible specs like camera or battery. For now official details are rather slim, but Motorola isn’t likely to announce anything on these two phones in the immediate future with Google I/O happening this week.
