Samsung Gear Live No Longer Available From The Google Store

The Smartphone market has been booming of late. Of course, this is largely due to the fact that Android Wear was fully released over the last year. The unifying android platform has seen since a burst of activity within the smartwatch market. One which has seen new offerings coming from all of the big android smartphone manufacturers. In fact, the manufacturers seem to be well on their way to releasing multiple next generation devices already. Samsung and LG both have a number of smartwatches on the market, while the likes of Motorola are currently largely reported to be in the process of releasing their second generation Moto 360 smartwatch.

Of course, one of the highest rumored smartwatches which is set to land in the coming weeks or months is that of Samsung’s next offering. This one is going by the ‘Samsung Gear A’ tag and is rumored to be round in shape, with a rotating and functional bezel. Of course, this is a long way from the original Samsung Gear Live which was one of the first smartwatches to be launched last year alongside the first LG option, the LG G Watch. Both of these devices landed with some interest, however, as the next Google I/O event is only weeks away and the latest smartwatches en route, the interest in these devices have curtailed somewhat.

Well, in terms of the Samsung Gear Live, it now seems that the device has finally said it’s goodbye to the Google Store as the device is no longer available to buy. It seems today saw the Gear Live reach the “no longer available” status on the Google Store. This is not too surprising as the technology and platform in general, seem to be moving fast enough that these original devices are now effectively already dated. Of course, if you are absolutely desperate to grab a Gear Live before they completely vanish then they are still available to buy on Amazon. For how long though, who knows and especially if they remain more expensive than the recent drops that have been seen with the likes of the Moto 360 and LG G Watch R.
