Finally. Finally we have word on when the LG G4 will be available on the US. This morning Sprint sent over word that they will be releasing the LG G4 on June 5th. We haven’t heard from the other carriers just yet, but we expect to hear from them rather soon. Sprint is offering the LG G4 for $200 on contract, or if you’d rather go without a contract it’ll cost you $600. Additionally, you can pick it up through Sprint’s Easy Pay Program for $25/month for 24 months. Pre-orders are open right now, so head on over and pre-order your LG G4.
For those that pre-order today, you’ll also get a free extra battery, a 32GB microSD card, and a battery charging cradle. As long as you pre-order through June 21st, from Sprint. That’s a nice addition to the LG G4, and I’m sure plenty of people are going to love having an extra battery come with their LG G4 at purchase, especially since it has a removable battery.
Sprint is the first to announce availability of the LG G4 in the US. We do know that Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile will be offering the device on their store shelves though. So we should see their announcements pretty soon. The LG G4 features a 5.5-inch 2560×1440 resolution display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 16MP camera. The rear-facing camera also has f/1.8 aperture along with OIS and a color spectrum sensor, which really helps to get the most accurate colors possible in photos. There’s also a 3,000mAh removable battery inside, along with a microSD card slot, two things that the Galaxy S6 does not have this year.
We’ve already reviewed the LG G4, so be sure to check out that review, it’s a really great phone. And definitely a contender for phone of the year, even though we are only at the end of May. Sprint is, however, only offering the LG G4 in black leather and metallic gray. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some of the other leathers and colors exclusive to other carriers.
