It is not unusual for mobile device manufacturers to try anything to increase potential sales of their products – one only has to look at Apple and Samsung…two of the largest offenders. They have the money to spend on large TV ad campaigns and putting out lots of videos…Samsung, especially, tries to focus on one or two aspects of their new smartphones in each of their videos. We do not hear as much from HTC or LG, but they will do as much as they can to win us over and with the release of their new LG G4, LG is focusing on a more ‘grassroots’ campaign called #TRYLGG4. This contest of sorts allows the participants to compete in a series of challenges in order to win a new LG G4 as the ultimate prize. LG has just reached out to Canadians to join in this challenge.
There will be 35 participants that will be selected from those users that properly fill out and submit an entry form on the TryLGG4.ca website, answering the question, “Tell us why you want to be in the LG G4 tester group.” If selected, you will receive a LG G4 smartphone to use while you take part in the contest, and if you satisfactorily fulfill the contest, you may get to keep a new LG G4 as a prize! And not to worry, as there are other prizes to be rewarded as well. The recruitment period runs from May 11 – May 24 and the 35 lucky winners will be announced on May 26, 2015. The contest will then run for four weeks as the user (winner) performs certain challenges.
Your assignments or missions will be completed by proof from the LG G4’s 16MP camera. There will be four LG HBS750 Bluetooth headsets awarded during a weekly draw for those that complete each weekly task. They are valued at approximately $80 CDN. If you complete all four weekly assignments, you will be able to keep your new LG G4 smartphone valued at $700 CDN. Even if not all missions are completed successfully, LG will reward up to 35 people, LG Merchandise valued at $50 CDN if the LG G4 is returned to LGE by July 24, 2015. Sounds like a lot of fun and gives you a chance to walk away with a new LG G4 – not a bad thing at all.
