The LG G4 was one of the most anticipated smartphones because the company has been focusing on their recent flagship devices with attention to detail and featuring some of the most recent technology. It integrates very good specs like a QHD screen with a curved glass protecting it and keeping ergonomics in mind and a 16-megapixel camera with an improved OIS and an f /1.8 aperture in an attractive enough hardware that includes a removable back cover to personalize it with different materials including leather. The software that LG uses on their smartphones has never been one of their strengths, but this time they actually integrated useful features like the manual controls in the camera app and the whole UX 4.0 seems more refined than past iterations. This phone is the only flagship to keep the options for both, a removable battery and a Micro SD card slot to add more memory, making it ideal for users that see a real value in these features.
It’s no secret that carrier-locked smartphones usually take a little more time to launch and now we might actually know when to expect the Verizon version of the LG G4. On the official device page of that particular carrier, there’s an option to register to know the actual date on when it will launch and there are also some highlights of the features of this phone. What’s interesting is the picture found on that page, it features a render of the phone front and back with what seems to be one of the plastic ceramic-coated with the geometric pattern and the logo of Verizon and their 4G network in the middle of it. On the screen portion of the render, below the clock the date Thursday, June 4 can be clearly seen, and while it might be just a random date, it might as well hint at the exact date of the availability of this phone on Verizon. It was supposed to be available on June the 2nd for some carriers, but Verizon usually launches phones on Thursdays so this date looks very likely. Anyway, the phone is expected soon, so those interested should be a little more patient.
