We’re not here to talk about the Mi Note Pro, but a Xiaomi-branded mid-ranger which was announced in India last month, the Mi 4i. This is a really affordable mid-range device which offers really solid build quality, and we’re here to see if that’s true. When announcing the device, Xiaomi has talked a lot about the build quality of this device, and has emphasized how well built it is.

Well, guys from aduGADGET have decided to test that fact. They actually took two Mi 4i handset and put them through a couple of torture tests in order to see how durable they are. In the first test, they dropped the two phones side by side (vertically), and concrete didn’t do much to hurt either device, didn’t even scratch them. As part of the second test, the two devices were dropped face down, and were intact once again. The third test is really interesting, they actually exposed these two devices to flame in order to see how will they fare. Well, the devices were pretty much intact according to the source. If you’re interested in checking out this torture test yourself, you’ll find the YouTube video link embedded down below.
