Xiaomi has been really aggressive this year as far as device launches go, the company has announced a number of devices thus far. They’ve announced the Redmi 2, Mi Note, Mi Note Pro and the 2GB version of Mi 4 as far as smartphones go, but smartphones aren’t the only devices Xiaomi pushed out this year. The company has also announced a number of smart gadgets, smart TVs, etc. That being said, there are quite a few smartphones that Xiaomi is expected to launch by the end of 2015, including the company’s upcoming Mi 5 flagship, and some other mid-range offerings.
That being said, Xiaomi’s 2015 roadmap has leaked (Huawei’s devices are also mentioned here, read more about that by clicking here) and it seemingly reveals when will each of their upcoming devices launch. This roadmap actually revealed timeframes for launches of Xiaomi Mi 4s, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 2 Pro and Mi 5. First in line is the Mi 4s, which will launch next month (June). According to the provided info, this handset will sport a 5-inch 1080p display, will feature a 13-megapixel OIS camera on the back, and a 4-megapixel UltraPixel shooter up front. The Snapdragon 810 (MSM8994) processor is also listed here and will power on this device.
Next in line are both Redmi Note 2 models, the Redmi Note 2 and Redmi Note 2 Pro. These two devices will arrive in July if this leak is to be believed. The Redmi Note 2 will sport a 5.5-inch 720p display, 13-megapixel rear-facing and 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 410 (MSM8919) SoC will power on this handset according to the roadmap. The Redmi Note 2 Pro, on the other hand, will sport a 1080p display and will be powered by the Snapdragon 615, camera sensors remain the same here.
The last and arguably most interesting handset listed here, the Mi 5, will arrive in November according to the source. Xiaomi’s annual flagship will reportedly sport a 5.2-inch QuadHD (2560 x 1440) display along with a 20-megapixel rear-facing, and 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. The unreleased Snapdragon 820 (MSM8996) processor is said to power on this device, which is possible if they intend to launch this thing in November. There you have it folks, these are Xiaomi’s upcoming smartphones, at least it seems like it. These timeframes might vary, so take this info with a pinch of salt, as usual when it comes to leaks.
