ZTE's 'Bezel-Less' Nubia Z9 Flagship Gets The Hands-On Treatment In China

After months and months of leaks and rumors, ZTE has finally announced their new flagship, the Nubia Z9. This handset is very interesting and is trying really hard to differentiate from the competition. The Nubia Z9 is instantly recognizable considering it doesn’t sport any bezel on the sides, except the metal frame that goes around the device. Speaking of the frame, this device also sports what ZTE calls ‘FiT’ or ‘Frame Interaction Technology’ which allows you to use certain actions on the phone’s sides in order to get it to open an app, lock / unlock the device, activate a shortcut, etc. The phone sports a metal frame which is stuck between two pieces of glass, which makes the device looks very sleek and premium.

We’ve already covered the launch of this device, as well as its in-depth specifications in a separate article, and are here to take a better look at its design. First hands-on images started popping up all over the internet from China, and we’re here to share some of those images with you, courtesy of Anzhuo. The circular capacitive touch button is located below the display, which is sort of ZTE’s calling card.

The Nubia Z9 actually comes in three variants, the Classic, Elite and Exclusive. The first one sports 32GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM, while the latter two offer 64GB of in-built storage and 4GB of RAM.
