Canadian Google Store Razer Forge TV Bundle $189.99

The Canadian Google Play Store has been busy lately adding a few items, one such item is the Razer Forge TV Bundle – a Razer Forge TV module and Gaming Controller – for the price of $189.99.  Additional controllers may be purchased separately for $99.99 and they come with a clip so you can attach your smartphone to add to your gaming experience.  This Android TV box, introduced at CES in January, is small enough to fit in your hand, is square-shaped and about the size of a CD.  Because the Razer Forge is a form of Android TV box, you will have access to the Play Store, Play Movies, Play Music, YouTube and access to many apps…but it is heavily designed with the gamer in mind.

Razer is known for its gaming peripherals and accessories designed for use with PC’s and consoles.  By combining that expertise with Android TV and a gaming console, it is a great selection to access Google services and have a great gaming experience.  The controller itself may seem a little pricey at nearly $100, but it can do more than just sync up with the Razer Forge TV box – it is compatible with any Bluetooth-enabled Android device, so you can stream media from your smartphone or your tablet to your TV.  By streaming games from your PC or smartphone to you big screen, you can truly enhance your gaming experience.  You can hook up to four controllers to the Razer Forge console for multiplayer gaming or play games right on your smartphone using the controller and its detachable phone clip.

The Razer Forge TV console measures a mere 104.9 x 104.9 x 17.02 mm and weighs in at 240.4 grams or about a half of a pound.  It comes in our favorite color, black, and is running Android 5.0 Lollipop.  It has 2GB of DDR3 memory, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 +HS, it can make use of Google Cast and has a Gigabit Ethernet port.  The processing power comes from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core clocked at 2.5GHz and Adreno 420 for graphics.  Power for the console unit is provided with an included DC adapter and two AA batteries handle power for the controllers.  The system requires a TV with a HDMI input, a HDMI cable and an internet connection.
