Doogee is a Chinese smartphone OEM which is preparing to release quite a few smartphones actually. Details regarding their upcoming smartphones just keep on coming, and some of them seem really appealing. The Doogee X1 we’ve talked about recently is a mid-range handset which will have basically no bezel on the side, and the company’s Doogee F3 will be a high-end device, and the company’s flagship, at least according to the info we’ve received thus far. This handset is expected to arrive in August, and our source at the company has just sent us some additional info regarding the phone, but let’s see what we know thus far first.
Previous info suggested that the Doogee F3 will be made out of metal, ship with a 1080p (1920 x 1080) display and various RAM variants. At least 16GB of internal storage will be available inside of this handset, and you can also expect a 3,150mAh battery to be included. MediaTek’s MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz was also mentioned, and same can be said about a 13-megapixel camera (Sony’s IMX214 or Samsung’s ISOCELL sensor). The 8-megapixel camera will be located on the front side of this device, and you can also expect this thing to offer 4G LTE connectivity and ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop pre-installed (various ROMs will be available as well). That being said, our source at Doogee sent some additional news our way. It seems like the company is planning to release a ‘Limited Edition’ Doogee F3 handset which will sport rather interesting hardware on the inside. This handset will reportedly feature a 5-inch QuadHD (2560 x 1440) display by LG, which will be covered with a 2.5D curved glass and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 810 64-bit octa-core SoC and 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM has also been mentioned. The phone will also ship with 32GB of internal storage and a 3,100mAh battery. The 21-megapixel snapper (Sony’s IMX230) sensor will be available on the back of this handset, and an 8-megapixel shooter (OmniVision’s sensor) will be located up front.
This ‘Limited Edition’ handset is expected to launch in October and will cost $349.99. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see the handset itself, along with an optional back cover which will reportedly also be available for purchase.
