Featured Review: Incipio DualPro Shine Case for the LG G4

Incipio has a few lines of cases which are made for all of the smartphones that they make cases for. One of the older lines is the DualPro line, which also has a DualPro Shine model. We’ve seen this one countless times and it never gets old. It’s pretty much the same as the DualPro case, except the back is more of a brushed metal look. Obviously it’s faux metal, but it still looks and feels nice. As usual, there are two layers. The inner layer that goes against your phone is made of TPU material, and is soft. This is to keep from scratching up your smartphone. That’s always important. The outer layer is a bit less flexible, as it’s meant to take damage from you dropping your phone, by mistake of course.

The DualPro Shine has a cut out on the back for the camera, laser auto-focus, color spectrum sensor, flash, volume rocker and power button. It’s just one hole, which makes sense, since they are all really close together. There’s also another cut out towards the bottom for the speaker. On the bottom, there are cut outs for the micro USB charger, headphone jack and microphone hole. Up top, there’s just the IR Blaster and microphone hole. The case also has a nice lip over the front of the device. While it does change the usability of the LG G4 a little bit, it’s not too bad, and more importantly it protects your LG G4. So that if you drop it, and it hits the ground face down, it won’t shatter the display.

Currently, the Incipio DualPro Shine case for the LG G4 is on sale over on Amazon for about $20. Depending on which color you decide to pick up. It’s available in black, silver and gray. It’s definitely a good price for what you get here. While it may not be as protective as an Otterbox or a Trident case, it definitely looks much nicer and is quite a bit thinner, making it easy to fit in your pocket still. Also check out Incipio’s other cases, it’s hard to go wrong with one of theirs.
