While HTC may not be planning to sell their One M9+ and One E9+ here in the US, some third-party retailers are doing it already. Both models were announced in Asia shortly after the One M9 became available. They have a MediaTek processor inside, which arguably runs better than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 in the One M9. Bot the One M9+ and One E9+ also feature a QHD 2560×1440 resolution display, which is higher than the 1080p that the HTC One M9 features. As you can imagine, it made quite a lot of people upset, especially since it wasn’t coming to the US.
The HTC One E0+ is a larger device. Featuring a 5.5-inch QHD 2560×1440 resolution display. It also has MediaTek’s X10 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. There’s also 32GB of storage and the duo-camera around back. Which is a 20.7MP and a 2.1MP combination. No fingerprint scanner on the One E9+ while the One M9+ does have the fingerprint scanner.
The HTC One M9+ has a 5.2-inch QHD display, powered by MediaTek’s X10 processor which is a 2.2GHz octa-core chip. There’s also 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage with a microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB. HTC brought back the duo-camera this time around. So we have a 20.7MP camera along with a 2.1MP that gets all the depth information. HTC has kept the 4MP UltraPixel camera around the front this time around. The HTC One M9+ is available on Amazon now for $799. It is a hefty price, but it is imported from China, so that would be why.
Of course both devices have the iconic BoomSound speakers around front, and are both available in China only right now. Like we said earlier, there’s still no plans to bring either device to the US, according to HTC. We’d also caution those looking to pick one up. As these are devices made for China, thus they may not work 100% on the US carrier networks. Typically with Chinese smartphones, you’ll only get HSPA+ on T-Mobile or AT&T here in the US. So keep that in mind.
