Huawei Launch The TalkBand B2 Wearable From $179 In The U.S.

Back at the start of March at this year’s MWC event in Barcelona, Huawei was in attendance and showcasing a number of their products which were due to be landing in the coming months and throughout the rest of 2015. In particular, Huawei took the opportunity at MWC to unveil and announce a couple of their fitness trackers and wearable devices. Most notable, the Huawei TalkBand N1 and TalkBand B2. In terms of the latter, the Huawei TalkBand B2, this was the follow-up to the predecessor TalkBand B1 and came with some notable improvements. Well, following on from the March announcement, Huawei have now confirmed that starting from today the TalkBand B2 is available to purchase online and starting from $179.

While the TalkBand B1 was limited in its style and function, the TalkBand B2 had seen some impressive improvements. This is a fitness tracker and therefore, will connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth and sync all your typical fitness tracking data like steps and so on. However, the TalkBand 2 also contains a 6-axis motion sensor which has the ability to identify the type of sport or activity the user is doing and record this information too. This includes the ability to identify activities including walking, running, hill climbing and cycling. While the tracker will provide your step count, it will also be able to calculate and relay information on how many calories are burned during the activities too. In fact, Huawei has also partnered up with Jawbone offering users of the TalkBand B2 the option to send their data to the likes of the UP Smart Coach app. Not to mention, that Huawei state the device can also sync up and connect to more than 3,000 applications for various connected devices. Interestingly, that is only half of the main function of the TalkBand B2. Thanks to the clever design of the wearable, and similar to the TalkBand B1, users can also remove the centrepiece and use this as a standalone Bluetooth headset, making use of the inbuilt speaker and dual-mic. Thereby allowing the user to make hands-free calls when exercising, driving and so on. It is lastly worth pointing out that the TalkBand B2 also offers the ability to make use of the device’s remote camera trigger and capture selfie images remotely.

For those interested and thinking about picking up the Huawei TalkBand B2, Huawei has confirmed that the TalkBand B2 is now available directly through the Huawei shopping channel, GetHuawei.com, as well as Amazon. Not to mention. Huawei advise that the TalkBand B2 will also be available from Fry’s Electronics (both in-store and online) this week and will also be arriving soon at Best Buy.
