iOcean is yet another Chinese smartphone manufacturer that has been making mostly mid-range devices, but the company is looking to enter the higher-end space in the future. This company has released quite a few devices since it was founded, and it seems like another one is on the way. According to the latest info, iOcean plans to release the Z1 handset, which will sport some really interesting specs. Anyhow, let’s see what this handset has to offer, shall we.
First and foremost, if you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll notice a couple of images showcasing this handset. As you can see, the phone sports a rather industrial design, and a metal frame, but looks very sleek. The phone will sport a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card). This handset will be powered by MediaTek’s MT6795 64-bit octa-core processor which ships with a Mali T760 GPU for graphics. This is a dual-SIM handset (dual standby) which will offer 4G LTE connectivity (TD-LTE 1800/2300/2600, FDD-LTE 800/1800/2600).
The 20-megapixel camera will be located on the back of this smartphone along with an LED flash, while you’ll be able to find an 8-megapixel snapper up front. The 4,000mAh battery is also a part of this package, and Android Lollipop will come pre-installed here with some additions from iOcean. The rear-facing fingerprint scanner will also be included here. We still don’t know when will this device be officially released, but judging by the fact that it’s already appearing on various reseller sites, it shouldn’t be long now.
iOcean sells their devices via various online resellers, like many China-based smartphone companies do. Once the company releases the iOcean Z1, you’ll be able to pick it up front Spemall, BangGood, GeekBuying, 1949deal… and many more stores which can be found here. We also know that this handset will be available in Black color options, but are still unsure if the company plans to offer other options as well. Either way, we’ll keep you posted and let you know once the device is available, so stay tuned for that.
