IUNI N1 Hits TENAA, Flash-Less Dual Camera Setup In Tow

IUNI is a Chinese smartphone OEM which you probably haven’t heard of if you’re living outside of Asia. This company doesn’t exactly release a whole lot of smartphones, but they did release a rather interesting offering last year, the IUNI U3. That handset packed really great specs, like the 5.5-inch QHD display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 13-megapixel snapper (Sony’s sensor) and was powered by the Snapdragon 810 quad-core SoC. The device sported a metal build and really thin bezels, which made it look really sleek. Best of all, this handset was priced at 2,000 Yuan last year, and it costs 1,399 Yuan at the moment. We’ve even managed to get our hands on that device, but considering there was no way of installing Google Apps on it at the time, we couldn’t exactly review it.

Anyhow, we haven’t heard from IUNI in quite some time, but it seems like this Chinese smartphone OEM is preparing to release another device. We’re not looking at a high-end offering this time around, but a solid mid-range device. The IUNI N1 popped up on TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC) and showcased its specs, design, and the dual rear-facing camera setup, at least it looks like it. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll notice what seems to be a dual camera setup, though we can’t see the LED flash anywhere on the back side of this device. So, those two sensors are either both camera sensors, or IUNI intends to implement an extremely large LED unit next to the camera. The most likely outcome? Well, a dual camera setup and no LED flash. Either way, we’ll find out soon let’s check out the rest of this device’s specs.

The IUNI N1 will feature a 5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The 13-megapixel snapper will be located on the back of this handset, and an 8-megapixel shooter will be available up front. The 2,000mAh battery will also be a part of this package, and same can be said about 4G LTE connectivity. The phone seems to be made out of plastic, it sports three capacitive buttons below the display, and both its lock / power and volume rocker physical buttons are located on the right side of the device. Another thing you might notice when looking at the two images down below is a rather odd color choice here, this variant of the device seems to sport gradient pink and blue colors. Either way, stay tuned, we’ll let you know when the additional info surfaces.
