HTC has made some really interesting choices this year. The company has announced their One M9 flagship back in March during Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. Not long after that (April 8), HTC has unveiled two more high-end offerings, the One M9+ and One E9+. Both of these devices were announced in China and HTC said that they won’t be available for purchase outside of Asia. As you can imagine, people didn’t react all that well to that information, and it seems like HTC realized that it has to fix the situation.
The company didn’t officially say that they will release the device outside of Asia, but the newest leak from LlabTooFeR seems to indicate that. This leaker usually has rather accurate HTC info, so the source seems at least somewhat credible. Anyhow, the leaker said that the HTC One M9+ (didn’t mention the One E9+ though) will hit EU market in the third quarter of this year. He also added that the phone will be available in Germany, Italy, Russia and some other EU countries. As previously mentioned, we still don’t have any such info regarding the One E9+, but if the One M9+ becomes available, chances are the One E9+ will follow.
HTC One M9+ was announced back in April, and released a month later. This handset features a 5.2-inch QuadHD (2560 x 1440) display along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB). MediaTek’s MT6795T 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz powers this handset along with a PowerVR G6200 GPU. The DuoCamera setup is available on the back of this thing, the 20-megapixel and 2.1-megapixel shooters along with a dual-LED flash. The 4-megapixel UltraPixel snapper available up front, and this handset features a physical button below the display. The 2,840mAh battery is also a part of this package, and this is also a dual-SIM handset which offers 4G LTE connectivity. The One M9+ also comes with BoomSound speakers, and it ships with Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC’s Sense UI 7.0 installed on top of it. The device measures 151 x 72 x 9.6mm and weighs 168 grams.
There you have it, it seems like HTC intends to launch the One M9+ in Europe as well, if the source is to be trusted that is. We still don’t know how much will this handset cost, but we’ll let you know as soon as additional info surfaces.
