Siswoo is one of many China-based smartphone OEMs. Unlike some other manufacturers, this company is trying to differentiate by releasing some really interesting devices like the Siswoo R9 Darkmoon which offers two displays, similar to Yotaphone’s offering. We’re not here to talk about the R9 Darkmoon though, but three new Siswoo mid-range handsets which we’ve actually discussed quite recently. This China-based company has released their ‘A’ line of devices which consists of Siswoo A4 Chocolate, A4+ Chocolate and A5 Chocolate. Let’s see what these handsets have to offer.
These three devices are somewhat similar actually, their size is different, but all of them are powered by the same SoC, have the same sensors, OS, RAM count, etc. The Siswoo A line of devices are powered by MediaTek’s MT6735 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, and the ship with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The 5-megapixel camera is located on the back of all these device, while they sport a 2-megapixel snapper up front. Dual SIM and 4G LTE connectivity are also present here, and Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed with Siswoo’s skin on top of Google’s operating system.
The Siswoo A4 Chocolate features a 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480) display and a 1,500mAh battery on the inside. The A4+ Chocolate sports a somewhat bigger panel, a 4.5-inch one, and its resolution is 960 x 540, while the device also sports a 1,800mAh battery. The biggest handset from Siswoo’s A series is the Siswoo A5 Chocolate. This handset sports a 5-inch qHD (960 x 540) display and a 2,000mAh battery. Unfortunately, Siswoo still hasn’t released the official pricing fo these three devices, but you can rest assured that they’ll cost less than $100.
The Siswoo ‘A’ devices are made out of plastic, and sport a capacitive home button below the display. The design is rather plain, but these three handsets do offer 4G LTE connectivity and might sell well in emerging markets. Either way, we’ll let you know when Siswoo decides to release pricing info, until then, check out the images in the gallery down below, as well as the official promo video which is embedded down below as well.
