Sony's Xperia Z4 Tablet Delayed Once More

Since no one knew what announcements to expect from the mobile division of Sony on this year’s MWC, the company started teasing a new device just a few days before the announcement, granted, first it was accidentally posted in their Xperia Lounge app but then they posted in their social networks that a brighter, lighter and slimmer device would be presented. That device turned out to be the Xperia Z4 Tablet which was announced with a Bluetooth keyboard cover as an accessory for enhanced productivity.

The tablet is indeed one of the best ones that run Android. The screen is 40% brighter than the one included in its predecessor and the resolution was upgraded to 2K (2560 x 1600 pixels), which gives the Xperia Z4 Tablet a screen density of 299 ppi beating most tablets including Apple’s iPad. It is also lighter than most with a weight under 400g and it is truly slim at a 6.1-mm thick. Let’s not forget that the hardware can be used in a variety of environments as the IP68 certification makes it dustproof and water resistant. The rest of the specs are very good too, it includes one of the best Qualcomm processors so far, the octa-core Snapdragon 810 clocked at 2 GHz along with 3 GB of RAM that should provide a great multitasking experience. The internal memory is 32 GB and it can be expanded with Micro SD cards. The 6,000 mAh battery is said to last for up to 17 hours of video playback.

Everything sounds very good so far, the problem is that it has been over 3 months and the tablet is nowhere to be found, it was supposed to be available in May, then it was delayed to mid-June and now the tablet has been delayed once again with deliveries supposedly starting on the 29th of June on some European countries. It is unknown if the system will be the kind of first-come, first served type, where the ones that pre-ordered their tablet first will start receiving it on that date or if the new orders will start receiving the tablet starting on that date.
