Xiaomi Mi Note Gets Discounted, Now Available For $322

Xiaomi has launched quite a few devices this year, but their most powerful offerings thus far are the Mi Note devices. This China-based smartphone OEM has unveiled the Mi Note and Mi Note Pro handset back in January this year. The two devices have been released as Xiaomi’s new flagships (well, at least until the Mi 5 arrives), and are totally identical in terms of the design. Looking at their specs, there are quite a few differences though. The Mi Note Pro sports a higher-res display, more RAM and a more powerful processor, but we’re here to talk about the Mi Note, a lower-end of the two, but still a high-end device.

This Chinese smartphone OEM has a tendency to discount their devices a couple of months after they release it, which is exactly what happened with the Mi Note. Xiaomi has decided to lower the price of this handset from 2,300 Yuan ($370) to 1,999 Yuan ($322). If you live in China, you can now purchase this thing for 300 Yuan ($48) less, though you’ll need a voucher in order to do that. If you do get your hands on a voucher, you’ll be able to redeem it between July 6 and July 13, and it is possible that Xiaomi will keep this price point afterwards, perhaps not immediately, but in the coming weeks.

As some of you might know, the Redmi Note 2 launch has been teased for today, and it remains to be seen if that will happen. It is possible that Xiaomi’s CEO was referring to this discount when he mentioned the ‘Note’ announcement a while back. Either way, stay tuned for more info regarding all that. That being said, the Mi Note features a 5.7-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display along with 3GB of RAM and 16 or 64GB of non-expandable internal storage. The 13-megapixel snapper is available on its back, and a 4-megapixel UltraPixel snapper is located up front. This handset offers dual-SIM and 4G LTE connectivity, ships with a non-removable 3,000mAh battery, and it measures 155.1 x 77.6 x 7mm. There you have it folks, the Mi Note is now discounted, and we’re waiting for further Redmi Note 2 info.
