ZTE has unveiled a couple of really compelling smartphones this year. This China-based smartphone manufacturer has released three Nubia Z9 devices in the last couple of months. They’ve first released the Nubia Z9 Max and Nubia Z9 Mini devices, and the Nubia Z9 followed after that. The Nubia Z9 and Nubia Z9 Max are high-end offerings by the company, and the former is also the company’s flagship for 2015. That handset sports rather sleek design, metal build and basically no bezel on the side. On top of that, the Nubia Z9 offers some unique functionality as well.
That being said, another high-end ZTE device has leaked recently, the Nubia X8, which will, according to leaks, also sport a sleek metal design and high-end specifications. Well, the Nubia X8 is not the only upcoming ZTE-branded handset it seems, this Chinese smartphone manufacturer is cooking up something else. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll notice 4 images allegedly showing off ZTE’s upcoming ZTE Star 3 handset. We don’t have any spec info at the moment, unfortunately, but these renders are really promising though.
As you can see, this handset sports two cameras on the back, and in-between them you’ll notice the LED flash. It looks like the phone will sport a metal frame and really thin bezels on the sides. It also seems like ZTE will release more than one variant of this handset, at least according to these images. The first variant sports a plastic or metal back, while the second variant will offer a rather interesting pattern on the back, similar to the one you’ll find on the 64GB variant of OnePlus One.
If you take a look at the first image down below, you’ll notice that the volume up and down buttons are located on the right side of this device, while the power / lock button is nowhere to be found. Is it possible that this handset won’t sport a power / lock button? Well, it’s possible, but unlikely. Either way, we’ll let you know as soon as some additional info surfaces, we’ll hopefully stumble upon some spec info soon.
