Amazon Adds Card Scanning in Latest Update
In the latest update for the Amazon app on Android, the company has added the ability to scan cards, so you can now easily scan your gift card straight to your account. Additionally, Amazon has added voice commands and access to Amazon Mexico, which was just announced as their newest expansion about a month ago.
Reserve’s latest update Allows you to Split the Bill
The popular restaurant booking app, Reserve was updated this week. And one of the key new features that was added was the ability to split your bill with the other people you are at dinner with. A pretty neat feature for those that go out to dinner with friends quite often. That way you’re not stuck paying for everyone else. It’s actually a pretty neat app for reserving a table at a restaurant.
Plex goes Material
Plex is a really popular app that allows you to play your media on other devices on the same network. And today it got a pretty neat update, that brings material design along with it. And it does look amazing. You can grab the latest version of Plex for Android from the Google Play Store right now.
Aviary Photo Editor Gains Subscriptions
Evidently, Adobe thinks everything needs to be subscription-based. The recent Aviary update now has a $1.99 subscription for 30 days. That subscription gives you access to al of the filters, and effects to use on your pictures. Other than that, we mostly just have a slew of bug fixes and performance enhancements here for Aviary Photo Editor.
Slacker Gains Android Auto Support
You can now add Slacker to the growing list of Android Auto compatible apps. This week’s update brought along Android Auto compatibility, so you can now choose to use Slacker while you’re in the car, as opposed to Google Play Music, Spotify, TuneIn Radio, or many of the other apps that are now available for Android Auto. For the most part the app looks the same as the others, but with different colors, and that’s thanks to Google’s template that is being used for every app.
