Featured Review: Aukey 5-port Quick Charge 2.0 Desktop Hub

Quick Charge 2.0 is one of my favorite technologies that’s being used right now. It allows your phone and some tablets, to charge quicker, without actually hurting your device. Which is the more important part. So now you can charge your device almost twice as fast now, with various turbo chargers and such. Aukey has a whole line of accessories available with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 standard implemented. The newest one is this 5-port USB hub.

Four of the ports here are AllPower tech supported, with one that is Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 supported. The hub is about the size of a credit card, but obviously much thicker. It can sit on your desk neatly and charge whatever devices you need to charge daily. For me, it sits under my monitor and is able to charge however many phones I have on my desk right now, as well as my Fitbit. I’ve been using it for a little over a week now, and it works very, very well. It’s great to be able to use one outlet to charge five devices at the same time. Aukey also included a microUSB cable with the 5-port desktop hub, which was rather nice of them. Many of these hubs that are available around here don’t generally come with a micro USB cable. So definitely a nice perk here for Aukey.

While this isn’t the first 5-port USB hub that we’ve reviewed, this is one of our favorites. Primarily for the Quick Charge 2.0 compatibility. As it allows us to charge our devices quicker and get them out and on the road with us if we are headed out the door. Aukey’s USB hub is available now from Amazon for just $30. They also have a ton of other Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 accessories available, that you’ll want to check out. Including a car charger, which we’ll be taking a look at very soon. You can check out the gallery down below and see how the USB hub looks. It’s pretty sleek, although I noticed the front, near the USB ports does scratch up rather easily.
