Galaxy Note 4 Now Comes With A $200 Rebate In The US

South Korean consumer electronics manufacturer Samsung is offering a $200 rebate for would-be Galaxy Note 4 buyers in the US. The company has named the promotion “Notable Savings”, in an obvious play on the name of the device. The discount however, is only available for those buying the smartphone at full price, either factory unlocked, or from a partnering carrier, “from a participating location”. The rebate will be offered for exactly 20 days, from Tuesday, July 7th thru Sunday, July 26th. As per the announcement, the rebate seems to be applicable only to the standard issue Galaxy Note 4, as the Note Edge doesn’t seem to figure anywhere in the promotional material.

To avail of the discount, a buyer has to go over to Samsung’s designated website (source link below) and enter the device’s IMEI number and its Wi-Fi MAC address. Customers will also be required to upload a scanned image of the receipt, showing the date of purchase. Samsung says, its website will accept claims for rebates for up to one month after the promotion closes. The company will then mail the rebate check to the customer within about eight to ten weeks.

Samsung is said to be prepping the launch of the fifth generation Note phablet sometime later this year. The device is rumored to come with an Exynos chipset in lieu of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S0C. The current generation Galaxy Note 4 meanwhile, is powered by either the Snapdragon 805 or the Exynos 5433, depending on the market. While the North American markets (US and Canada) get the Snapdragon variant, the device sold in most other markets around the world ships with the Exynos 5433 chipset, designed in-house by Samsung. The smartphone features a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution. The device comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The primary camera on the phablet comes with a 16 megapixel sensor, and is capable of recording 2160p videos at 30 fps and 1080p videos at 60 fps. The secondary camera on the front of the device has a smaller 3.7 megapixel sensor, which is capable of shooting 1440p videos at 30fps. The phone also comes with a 3220 mAh battery, and supports quick charging.
