HTC Aero Rumored To Sport QHD Display, Gorilla Glass 4

HTC’s Q2 2015 financial results have been posted yesterday, and things really don’t look good for this Taiwan-based smartphone manufacturer. HTC has been having issues turning a profit for quite some time now, and they were hoping that the One M9 which was released in March will help them. Well, it seems like that wasn’t the case, HTC managed to earn very little cash in Q1, and they backtracked in the second quarter of this year. HTC is facing further loss in the coming months if they don’t find a way to turn things around. HTC is hoping that their rumored ‘Aero’ handset will manage to help the company, read on.

We’ve been talking about HTC Aero for a while now. The device surfaced a couple of weeks back, and even though we didn’t have much info at the time, it was quite clear that this will be a premium offering by HTC and that the company hopes this device will help them get back on the right path. The HTC Aero will reportedly have a ‘groundbreaking’ camera technology, at least according to the rumor that surfaced the other day. Well, a new report popped up today, and according to the provided info, the HTC Aero will feature a QHD (2560 x 1440) display along with a 2.5D curved glass and Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The aforementioned camera will quite probably come with an aperture of f/1.9, which should help it provide solid images in low-light.

The HTC Aero is expected to be HTC’s ‘Hero’ devices, and the company will reportedly unveil it in October. This gives us a few more month before it is released, which means we’ll probably see a ton more leaks and rumors in the coming weeks. As a side note, HTC has already released quite a few high-end devices this year, including One M9, One M9+, One E9+, Butterfly (2015) and One ME. According to rumors thus far, HTC Aero will be the most powerful out of the bunch, which makes it quite interesting. Let’s wait and see what HTC has to offer, stay tuned for more info.
