June has come and gone, and along with the ending of June, so does LG’s offer to throw in a 32GB microSD memory card with the purchase of a LG G4. So comes July and a new deal is being offered for those that purchase a new LG G4 – LG announced that if you purchase a new LG G4 in the US during the month of July, they would throw in an extra battery, battery charger and a leather cover. Talk about a sweet deal – this offer has been going on in Canada since the G4’s launch, so it is nice that LG is extending this offer to the US.
This “LG G4 Leather Back Cover, Battery and Battery Charging Cradle Promotion”, valued at $139.97, does have a few restrictions. You must be over 18 years of age, you must purchase the new LG G4 in a major carriers’ store or authorized retailer or online dealer and your request must be postmarked no later than August 14, 2015 and received by LG no later than August 31, 2015. As usual, it will take 4-6 weeks to receive your promotion requests and there is a limit of one offer per device. The free cover comes in one of five colors – yellow, pink, blue, orange or red.
The LG G4 is great smartphone that sports a slight curve in the design for easier holding and an improved ceramic-coated plastic back with a nice grip. LG upgraded the 5.5-inch QHD display by using a new IPS Quantum display technology that LG claims will give the display a boost in brightness of 25-percent, a 50-percent increase in the contrast and a 56-percent improvement in color accuracy. They opted for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.44GHz and two Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 1.82GHz. It packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot to expand an additional 128GB.
LG took a great camera and made it even better on the G4. They increased the sensor to 16MP with a large f/1.8 aperture for better low-light pictures. It kept LG’s excellent Laser Autofocus, dual-tone LED flash and OIS. LG upgraded the front-facing camera (FFC) to a huge 8MP for taking selfies and video chatting. The LG G4 also has a built-in IR blaster and an FM stereo radio…it is quite the complete package.
