ZTE has announced a couple of really compelling smartphones this year, and we’ve also seen some interesting leaks suggesting this Chinese smartphone OEM is preparing some additional hardware. The company has showcased their Nubia Z9 line a couple of months ago, including the Nubia Z9, Nubia Z9 Max and Nubia Z9 Mini. The first two devices are high-end offerings by ZTE, while the Nubia Z9 Mini belongs in the mid-range category. The most interesting out of the bunch is most definitely the Nubia Z9, a smartphone with no side bezels which is made out of metal and sports high-end specs.
That being said, one of ZTE’s smartphone got certified by TENAA yesterday, which was followed by the announcement of the device as well. Interestingly enough, this handset is called MyPrague, and it was launched in the Czech Republic. All in all, this is a veri nice offering by ZTE, let’s take a look at its specs. The MyPrague sports a 5.2-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080, 424 PPI) Super AMOLED display along with 2GB or 3GB of RAM (depending on the version) and 16 or 32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD card). This handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor and a 2,200mAh battery is also a part of this package. The 13-megapixel camera (5P lens) is located on the back of MyPrague, and the camera ships with PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) technology. The 8-megapixel front-facing snapper is also available here (CMOS, f/2.4 aperture), and this is also a dual SIM handset which offer 4G LTE connectivity. The Nubia MyPrague is only 5.5mm thick and it weighs 140 grams.
Interestingly enough, ZTE has included their ‘FiT’ gesture features here as well, something that has been exclusive to Nubia Z9 up until now. The phone also sports the AK4375 music chip, and is made out of metal, while you’ll also be able to take advantage of fast charging tech. The Nubia MyPrague is priced at $387 in Czech Republich, and the handset will be announced in China as well, the announcement will take place on July 15 in Beijing. We’ll have to wait for more info as far as availability in other markets in concerned, ZTE didn’t share any info regarding that.
