OnePlus 2 announcement is right around the corner. This Chinese smartphone OEM has already announced the event for July 27th, and we’ve already seen all sorts of leaks regarding this device. The company has confirmed that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 810 (v2.1) 64-bit octa-core processor, and that it will sport a Type-C USB 3.0 port. The recent camera review by MKBHD seemingly revealed that the device will sport a 13-megapixel camera, and we’ve also seen all sorts of additional rumors and listings which suggested the phone will sport 4GB of RAM, metallic trim and a fingerprint scanner.
Well, OnePlus’ upcoming flagship has just paid a visit to TENAA, which is Chinese equivalent to the FCC. TENAA’s information is usually quite accurate, though these specs seem a bit off. Anyhow, the site has revealed the device’s specs and design, read on. According to TENAA, the OnePlus 2 will sport a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (another internal storage variant is quite probable). Interestingly enough, TENAA’s listing touts Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core SoC, instead of the aforementioned Snapdragon 810 chip. This is actually kind of hard to believe, unless OnePlus intends to release two similar variants of OnePlus 2 sporting different SoCs. The company has seemingly already confirmed the Snapdragon 810, as we’ve already mentioned, so this is really hard to believe. The listing also says that the 13-megapixel shooter will be located on the back of the OnePlus 2, and an 8-megapixel camera will be available up front. The 3,300mAh battery will also be a part of this package it seems.
If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll notice three images of the listed OnePlus 2 handset. The device sports a metal frame, and an oval fingerprint scanner below the display. Both the power / lock and volume rocker buttons seem to be located on the right-hand side of the device, and the Laser Autofocus is also visible on the back of this phone, as mentioned by MKBHD the other day. The device once again sports the ‘Sandstone Black’ variant it seems, you can see that by looking at the back cover on this phone. There you have it, the Snapdragon 810 is nowhere to be found here, which makes this listing kind of odd. Anyhow, we’ll find out what’s true and what’s not really soon, stay tuned for more info.
