The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is due to come out in September, even though rumors are pointing to it being announced in August. That has not been confirmed, so we’ll stick with September here. We’ve heard many a rumor about the Galaxy Note 5, even though we are pretty sure it’ll stick to what Samsung did with the Galaxy S6, as far as the aesthetics go, we still cannot wait to see the device in Berlin at IFA in September.
Courtesy of GSMArena, we now have some renders that were put together from various dimensions leaked out on the Galaxy Note 5, as well as the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. ITSKINS sent GSMArena the dimensions of the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, and from that they were able to see that the Galaxy Note 5 will maintain its 5.7-inch display that the previous two generations had sported. You can see the renders in the gallery below. For the most part, the renders look pretty identical to the Galaxy S6, with the exception of having a slot for the S Pen which we know Samsung won’t be getting rid of.
There’s also the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, which as you’d expect, looks a lot like the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Basically, it looks like a super-sized Galaxy S6 Edge. The specs are pretty similar for these two, according to rumors. We’re looking at the Exynos 7422 SoC, as well as a 16MP camera on the back, a 5MP front-facing shooter along with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. No word on a microSD card slot, I’d be surprised if there was one this time around. Additionally, the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is said to have a 3,000mAh battery with the Galaxy Note 5 featuring a 4100mAh battery inside. Which would be a pretty considerable upgrade over the Galaxy Note 4 which had a 3200mAh battery inside.
It’s important to remember that these are just concept renders, for the most part. While we do have dimensions now, that doesn’t mean they are confirmed. And for the most part, don’t really tell us a whole lot about the device. We should learn more when Samsung announces both of these devices at IFA in September.
