Report: HTC One E9 To Launch In China Next Month

Things really don’t look all that good for HTC. The company has recently announced their Q2 2015 earnings, and they really have to release something groundbreaking which will attract a lot of consumers in order to get back on the right path. HTC is planning to release the new ‘Hero’ device dubbed Aero in November, well, at least according to rumors. This handset will feature new camera tech, and it is supposed to be as premium as it gets. That being said, HTC has already released a lot of high-end devices this year.

This Taiwan-based company has released their flagship, One M9, back in March, and a number of devices followed. The One M9+ and One E9+ were announced not long after One M9, and Butterfly (2015) and One ME followed soon after. As we’re waiting for the company to announce the Aero handset, it seems like HTC is working on releasing yet another device, the One E9, which was already certified by TENAA (China’s equivalent to the FCC). This thing will be HTC’s mid-range offering, and it will look very similar to the already released One E9+ handset. Well, according to reports out of China, the One E9 will be released next month. This thing will feature a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) display along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. This handset will be fueled by an octa-core 1.5GHz SoC, and it will feature a 13-megapixel on its back. The 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera will be available up front, and Android 5.0 Lollipop will come pre-installed on this device.

The One E9 is definitely not trying to be a premium handset, but it does offer a solid set of specs for those of you who are looking for a mid-range offering. We already know that this thing will launch in Asia first, but the question remains if it will be available outside of it or not. Well, we’ll find that out soon, stay tuned for more info and check out the images of One E9 in the gallery down below. Keep in mind that these images are a month old at this point, and come from TENAA.
