Rumor: New Moto X Sports 21MP Camera, 3,600mAh & FHD Display

While most of the talk today has been around the launch of the OnePlus 2 by OnePlus, this is not the only device which is expected to be outed by its manufacturer this week. Tomorrow in New York, Motorola are holding an event and one in which it is largely expected that the next-gen Moto X will make its debut appearance. As such, the last few weeks has been full of Motorola speculation and rumors, although, in fairness most of the leaked news has been coming for the other expected Moto device, the Moto G 2015. That said, the last couple of weeks have seen some leaked images of what the device is rumored to look like and also even rumored images of camera samples from the Moto X 3rd-Gen.

Well, a post sent out this morning from Hello Moto HK seems to be leaking what they believe are to be the specs for the device. Now Moto HK are known to be quite in-the-know when it comes to Motorola and therefore, their info does come with a good degree of authenticity. That said, as these are leaked specs, nothing should be taken for granted as they could be wrong.

Moving on to the details and the Google+ post states that the Moto X 3rd-Gen is going to come with a 5.5-inch FHD display. In terms of cameras, the post reveals that the Moto X 2015 will come with a 21-megapixel rear camera which will be coupled with a 5-megapixel front facing camera. Everything will be powered by a 3,600mAh battery and the device will come running on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) out of the box. The post also details that the Moto X will come sporting a combined SIM and microSD card slot, although it also mentions that there will be a dual-SIM variant of the device available as well. In answering questions on the post, Hello Moto HK also goes on to state that the processor will be a Snapdragon 808 and that the reason for the FHD (opposed to QHD) is to offer users a better battery life. Some of these specs will be familiar as they have been rumored before, while some like the FHD display will be somewhat contradictory, with what has been expected to be a QHD display. Either way, with the event scheduled for tomorrow, it wont be long until all is known.
