January might seem and feel like a long time ago but if you remember that far back and just before CES kicked off in Las Vegas, Samsung announced a new promotion they were running. The promotion was simple – buy either a Galaxy Tab S, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 4 or Galaxy 4K UHD TV and you were entitled to a year’s free Netflix. Well, reports are now starting to emerge that Samsung are gearing up for another promotion, although, unlike the last one, this one looks to be giving those who take advantage a real treat. A free Samsung Galaxy S6.
The promotion has yet to become official and as such the details are limited, however, a leaked flyer (shown below) details that anyone who is interested in buying a Samsung 4K SUHD TV will also get a free Samsung Galaxy S6 as well. Of course, a 4K SUHD TV from Samsung is not going to be available for cheap. However, with a freebie thrown in which would cost you over $600, it is probably not too surprising that you would have to purchase something of significant value.
In terms of the deal, the flier states that the deal will be live from July 19th through until the 1st of August. As such, this one is only on offer for a little under two weeks. Also, it is worth pointing out that this is the 32GB version of the Galaxy S6. For those who are wondering about the Galaxy S6 Edge, the small print does state that there is a deal for the S6 Edge, although in comparison, the deal does not seem to be hugely worth it. You can buy an S6 Edge and receive a rebate against the cost meaning the end price you pay for the S6 Edge is $400. Therefore, in truth the free Galaxy S6 compared to a marginally discounted S6 Edge seems to be the better option to go for. Of course, this is quite the payment to make just to get a free S6 when the device will likely cost a quarter of the price of the TV. That said if you were in the market for a new TV anyway and one which is 4K and a Samsung, then it might be worth checking out the deal.
