SwiftKey Intros PIXELS-Inspired Themes

It wasn’t too long ago that SwiftKey introduced their theme store for Android. They started out with just a few themes and theme packs. Which were a way for them to help monetize their app. Which is actually one of the most popular apps on Google Play and the most popular keyboard out there. Since then, we’ve seen a few updates with more themes, including NCAA March Madness themes for the tournament back in March. Those of you who bought SwiftKey back before it went freemium, also got a slew of paid themes for free. And there are many more themes available. Now SwiftKey is back with some new themes, and I think many of you are going to like them.

To celebrate the upcoming movie PIXELS – if you haven’t seen the trailer yet, we have it embedded down below – they are launching a number of free themes. The company partnered with the PIXELS team over at Sony Pictures, and they are proud to bring us five free themes for SwiftKey. Which include Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Q*bert, Centipede, and Space Invader. All five of these free themes are available today from the SwiftKey store. You can download these individually or as a pack. Seeing as they are free, why not just download the entire pack?

PIXELS will be in theaters on July 24th, or a week from tomorrow. Why not head to your local theater to watch PIXELS with a PIXELS-inspired keyboard theme on SwiftKey? SwiftKey is also asking you to take a screenshot of your favorite PIXELS theme and post it on Facebook or Twitter, and use the hashtag #SwiftKeyPixels. It’ll be interesting to see which one is the most popular, as for myself I think I’ll be sticking with Pac-Man. After all he does eat half of San Francisco – at least according to the trailer for PIXELS. Which looks like it’s going to be a fun movie. Sony Pictures is calling it this Summer’s most original action comedy, hopefully it won’t suffer the same fate that The Interview did last December.

In the words of Adam Sandler “Pac-Man’s a bad guy?”
