Another week gone and another homescreen to sate your customization hunger. This week our pick is called Cards L Dark, and is a variation of sorts on a previous homescreen called G-Cards. It was created by none other than David Pitoko who is a prominent source for creative homescreen designs for use with various different apps. If you like this homescreen design we’ll go over what apps you need to recreate this look for your own phone, as well as give you the basics of how to set everything up. Now that we’ve got all that covered, let’s get into the necessities and the setup process.
First things first, you’ll need some form of a third-party homescreen app, and in this particular case you’ll need two. Nova Prime and KLWP (kustom live wallpaper). In addition to those two applications, you’ll also need to make sure and download and install Media Utilities, as well as the theme design itself which you can pick up from the Play Store here. Once you have the needed apps installed and the Cards L Dark theme itself, you can proceed with the few steps to get the design on your own device homescreen. First go into your Nova settings and configure your homescren grid. It will need to be set to an 8 x 8 grid.
Once you have that done make sure to hide the dock, status bar, and navigation bar which can also be found within the nova settings. Once you have those things done, getting your homescreen to look like the image here is as simple as opening up KLWP and applying the theme skin Cards L Dark, and that’s pretty much it.
