Xiaomi is busier than ever. This Chinese smartphone OEM has released quite a few smartphones and other smart gadgets this year, and they’re far from over as far as releases go. The company is expected to introduce Redmi Note 2 and Mi 5 smartphones in the coming weeks. Both of these handsets have been leaking all over the place for weeks now, and the only thing that remains at the moment is for Xiaomi to unveil them. That being said, we have some new leaks to share with you, read on.
One of Xiaomi’s prototype smartphones has leaked, as you can see in the image down below. This image surfaced on Weibo (Chinese socal network), and we still don’t know which device is this. It is possible that it’s only a prototye device which won’t get released, though that’s unlikely. This handset sports a protruding camera, as you can see, and there’s no fingerprint scanner or anything of the sort on its back. The image really doesn’t reveal all that much detail, but it seems like the back cover of this phone is made out of plastic. We’re only guessing at this point, hopefully new info will surface soon.
The Xiaomi-branded handset isn’t the only thing that leaked though, some Mi TV 3 info popped up as well. According to the leak, the Mi TV 3 carries the model number L48M3-AA. Based on this model number, it seems liek we’re looking at a 48-inch smart TV which will be a part of Xiaomi’s third-gen Mi TV lineup. An additional rumor claims that Xiaomi will replace the 40 and 49-inch models with 48 and 60-inch TVs in the future, which would mean that they intend to release 48, 55 and 60-inch Mi TVs. The 64-bit octa-core processor has also been mentioned, and same can be said about 3D stereo. Take this info with a grain of salt, of course, we still can’t confirm any of this. There you have it. We’ll let you know as soon as we get more details on either the leaked smartphone, or the upcoming Mi TV lineup, so stay tuned for that.
