PlayStation Video App Rolls out
For those of you with the Xperia Z4 Tablet or the Xperia Z3+, you just got a new app from Sony. It’s the PlayStation Video app. Well it’s not really new, but those with those two devices did not get the app pre-installed on their device when they bought it. But now it’s available and you can use it as much as you want.
Logitech Harmony App gets Updated
This week, Logitech updated their Harmony app to work with a slew of smart home devices, including the August Smart lock, and Ecobee Thermostat. So if you have any of these smart home products or devices, you’ll now be able to use them with the Logitech Harmony App.
Firefox Stable hits v40
The Android version of Firefox just got to version 40 this past week. This is the stable version as well, not the beta. In this update, we are looking at better back/forward navigation, as well as better malware protection. And a slew of other minor fixes. You can pick up the update through the Google Play Store right now.
theScore Updates with cross-device syncing
One of my favorite Sports apps, theScore got a nice update this week. Their Terms and Conditions were also updated. Now you can sign into the app with an account and get cross-device syncing. Which is great for keeping up with your favorite teams and players. Especially for those that have multiple devices.
Snapchat hits v9.14
Snapchat also got updated this week to version 9.14 and it brings a travel mode along with it. Basically the travel mode is to help reduce data usage. Always a great idea when there are capped data plans everywhere. There’s also a new Emoji button, which brings a ton of Emoji’s into the app. You can grab it from Google Play.
Pushbullet enables end-to-end encryption
Pushbullet got updated this week as well and brought along for the ride end-to-end encryption for mirroring notifications. There’s also universal copy and paste in this update as well as SMS. It’s a pretty great update for a fantastic service, and making it more encrypted is always a great idea.
