BlackBerry isn’t exactly the most prominent company out there at the moment. This Canada-based smartphone OEM hasn’t been doing all that well as far as smartphone sales go. BlackBerry has been having issues selling enough devices for years now, and there are a number of reasons for that. It took the company quite a long time to modernize their UI, and when they finally did that, it was basically too late. BlackBerry has introduced a number of BB10-powered smartphones over the last couple of years, but they didn’t exactly sell well. We’ve seen a number of rumors lately that BlackBerry might be acquired by a third-party company, and a number of tech giants were mentioned, but none of them actually pulled the trigger just yet, and BlackBerry still insists they’ll make it on their own.
That being said, the company’s ‘Venice’ device has been mentioned quite a few times over the last couple of weeks. We’ve seen a number of leaks and rumors when it comes to this device. Why is it interesting? Well, it’s reportedly running Android OS, which many consumers find quite interesting. We’ve even seen the leaked image of the device quite recently, and now @evleaks has some additional info to share with us. The leaker has shared a new image of the BlackBerry Venice (featured above this article), and he has tweeted out the following sentence: ”BlackBerry Venice confirmed for November release on all four national US carriers.” So, as you can see, according to @evleaks, BlackBerry Venice not only exists, but it will launch on all 4 US carriers this November.
By the looks of it, BlackBerry Venice will sport a 5-inch+ touchscreen, and also a slide-out physical keyboard. According to many people, BlackBerry is making the best physical keyboards out there, so those of you who are into something like that and love Android are quite probably eager to check out this device. As you can see in the provided image, the device will sport on-screen keys, and the 3.5mm headphone jack will be located on the bottom of the device. According to a rumor which popped up a while back, BlackBerry might even opt to release multiple ‘Venice’ devices. Either way, stay tuned for more info.
