A Closer Look At Zopo's New Flagship, The Speed 7 Plus

Zopo is a Chinese smartphone OEM which has released a couple of interesting devices this year. This company has announced the Zopo Speed 7 and Speed 7 Plus devices last month, along with the company’s smartwatch, called the Z-Watch. We’ve already talked about each of these devices, and are here to take a closer look at the Zopo Speed 7 Plus, the company’s new flagship handset which is already available for pre-order from a number of Chinese resellers, and it will ship soon. Anyhow, let’s check out the device itself.

First and foremost, it is worth mentioning that Zopo has partnered up with a two-time MotoGP world champion, Jorge Lorenzo, in order to promote this device. The Zopo Speed 7 Plus sports a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080, 400PPI) IPS display along with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of in-built storage (expandable. This phone is powered by MediaTek’s MT6753 64-bit octa-core SoC, and a 3,000mAh battery is also a part of this package. The device sports a 13.2-megapixel camera on the back, while a 5-megapixel snapper is available up front. This is a dual-SIM smartphone, and it offers 4G LTE connectivity. Android 5.1 Lollipop comes pre-installed here with Zoppo’s UI on top of it. The phone measures 153.6 x 76.5 x 8.5mm, while it weighs 150 grams.

That being said, the company has released a number of official images showcasing this smartphone. If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll get to see the Zopo Speed 7 Plus in all of its glory. As you can see, this is a unibody smartphone, which sports extremely thin bezels. Both the power / lock button, and volume rocker keys are located on the right-hand side of this smartphone. The 3.5mm headphone jack is located on the bottom of this phone, and the phone sports no physical or capacitive buttons on the front. The Zopo logo is located below the display, ad as you can see, this is a rather well-looking device, though its design is nothing to write home about. I’m sure most consumers will appreciate those thin bezels though, the device is rather compact considering the size of its display.
