In cased you missed it, this past week was a big week for phones. There have of course been numerous rumors about the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5, which seems only natural since we’re getting closer to the event where they’re expected to be announced. Samsung revealed their plans for Unpacked which happens on August 13th, so the rumors about an August launch ahead of IFA for Samsung’s next big flagship seems to be true. When it comes to phone launches, OnePlus finally unveiled their OnePlus 2 this past week, sporting a refined design with a couple of new additions like the home button and fingerprint sensor.
Motorola held their event a day later, not only announcing the Moto X Pure Edition/Mot X Style, but also unveiling an upper mid-range device called the Moto X Play and the 3rd Gen. Moto G. There was also some development on the Android for Work program, with Silent Circle (the makers of the Blackphone) announcing they’ll be one of Google’s partners for the program and that the Blackphone 2 would be the first Android for Work device.
