Featured: Top New Games Of The Week August 14th Edition

There were more than a few decent game launches this week, so if you’re having some difficulty finding some titles to fill up your weekend we have you covered with a collection of some of the best games to hit the Play Store in the last 5 or so days. Pick through them and see what strikes your fancy then proceed to have some fun.

Bloodgate – Age of Alchemy

This is an action-rpg, but it carries elements of a match 3 title as your actions and attacks seem to be based on matching like colored stones. You have multiple different character types to play and a compelling storyline to follow with bits of exploration peppered throughout for good measure. There’s also tons of loot to gather and outfit to your characters for better stats.

Tobacco Inc

This is a strategy simulation game all the way where you’re in charge of a Tobacco company. The idea should seem pretty obvious here, grow your tobacco company and become more profitable to create an even more booming business.

the Sequence

If you enjoy puzzle games then the Sequence is worth giving a look. It tasks you with attempting to transfer binary cells by matching up modules. There are over 50 different levels of puzzles to solve which should keep most people busy.

Monsters Ate My Metropolis

Monsters Ate My Metropolis is a sort of continuation of the previous Monsters Ate My Condo, although it takes on a relatively different play style. This is more of a card game with tons of different monster cards to collect all which have their own special attacks to unleash on the city. Although choosing the right monster for the job can have much to do with how well you destroy, there is also an element of timeliness as you’ll want to tap the screen at the precise moment for optimal damage. It’s an adult swim game, so it should be good for plenty of laughs as well as fun.

Gathering Sky

You’ll find a combination of adventure and rhythmic wonder in Gathering Sky, as you control the flock of birds in flight while creating a magical, word-free story with soothing background music. The game boasts some rather beautiful looking game art and an easily approachable play style that can be finished quickly.

March of Empires

March of Empires is all about waging war and taking over territories to be the most dominant nation. You can choose from a selection of different countries all vying for power and control, and you’ll find plenty of strategic elements at play like building up your own defenses as well as your nation and military forces with which to attack others.

The Path To Luma

What you’ll experience here is equally parts thought provoking with the puzzles and beautiful with the colorful worlds you’ll explore as you travel the universe to galaxy to discover clean energy in an attempt to save your civilization known as the Chroma. Best of all, the game is completely free and free of IAP’s or ads. What could be better.

Fallout Shelter

Fallout Shelter has finally launched on Android as of just yesterday, and it’s a simulation game where you want to rebuild the future with an underground Vault. To do so you’ll have to fill it with other humans and do everything from exploring the desolate wasteland outside to getting your vault dwellers to repopulate. You start off with a small number of rooms and eventually can build your shelter into a vast underground community.
