Samsung’s Unpacked event is over and with it we got to see the announcement and unveiling of the Galaxy S6 Edge+. The device was shown off in all its glory, but the most important detail for many people will be “when can I buy one and where will it be available, and for how much?” We have all of that information for you in separate posts if you wish to check things out for just your specific carriers, but we have a full roundup for you here too if you want to look at all of your options. Let’s break it all down, shall we?
Verizon Wireless
Verizon has stated that the phone will be available in stores beginning August 21st, but those who want to pre-order the phone can do so today starting at 3PM EDT. The phone will be available at full cost outright, but can also be broken up into payments over the bill for those who choose to do so. Full cost will be $768 for the 32GB model and $864 for the 64GB model. Those who choose to break it up in payments can do so at either $32 a month for 24 months or $36 a month for 24 months for the 32GB and 64GB models respectively. The phone will be available in Black Sapphire and Gold Platinum.
For promotions, Verizon is offering a $200 credit towards the phone purchase for a trade-in of an old device in good working order, and for those who switch to Verizon from another carrier and purchase the Galaxy S6 Edge+, they can receive a $100 bill credit within two to three bill cycles.
T-Mobile
For T-mobile the same goes for the Galaxy S6 Edge+ as it does for the Galaxy Note 5. They will not be doing pre-orders for the device but it will be available to purchase on August 21st. For those who pre-register by August 20th however, and purchase the Galaxy S6 Edge+ by September 30th, they’ll receive a free year of Netflix. T-Mobile will be selling both the 32GB and 64GB models of the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the pricing is as follows. Those who wish to buy the phone at outright cost can do so, and it will be $779.99 for the 32GB model or $859.99 for the 64GB model. Customers can also choose to break the phone up into payments using EIP, which will set the cost at $0 down with 23 monthly payments of $32.50 and the 24th payment of $32.49 for the 32GB model. For those that have JUMP! On Demand attached to their plan, the down payment $0 and $28.50 a month for an 18 month lease. When it comes to the 64GB model, those who pick it up with EIP payments and no JUMP!, will get the phone for $99 down with 23 monthly payments of $27.67 and a 24th payment of $31.59. With JUMP! On Demand attached, the phone will cost $99 down and $27.67 a month for an 18 month lease.
Sprint
Sprint will be offering both the 32GB and 64GB models of the Galaxy S6 Edge+, and phones will be in stores on August 21st with pre-orders beginning today at 3PM EDT. The phones can be picked up in a range of different pricing options including full cost with no contract. At full retail, the 32GB model will cost $792 while the 64GB model will cost $888. Sprint will also be offering the phone on 2-year contract pricing, with the 32GB model costing $349.99 while the 64GB model will be $449.99. The last two options will be Sprint’s leasing prices and prices for breaking it up into payments using Sprint’s easy pay option. For those who want to lease the phone, the 32GB model will cost $0 down and $30 a month, while the 64GB model will cost $0 down and $33 a month. For those who want to break up the full cost of the phone using the easy pay option, the 32GB model will cost $0 down and $33 a month while the 64GB model will cost $0 down and $37 a month.
Sprint also has some promotions on offer. Those who purchase the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and trade in an old device can receive a $200 trade-in credit, and if they purchase the phone with a new activation and a 2-year service agreement they can receive a free Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0.
AT&T
Just like with Sprint and Verizon, AT&T will be taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S6 Edge+ today starting at 3PM EDT, and the phone will be available in stores beginning on August 21st. AT&T has a few different pricing options for the phone and will be carrying it in both the 32GB and 64GB models. For those looking to grab it at full retail cost with no contract, the prices are set at $814.99 for the 32GB model and $914.99 for the 64GB model. Subscribers can also pick it up with a 2-year contract at prices of $299.99 and $399.99 for the 32GB and 64GB models respectively. Lastly there’s a few different options for AT&T’s NEXT plan pricing which includes $0 down. Those who go with NEXT 24 (30 months) can pick up the 32GB model for $27.17 a month, or the 64GB model for $30.50 a month. NEXT 18 (24 months) has the 32GB set at $33.96 a month or the 64GB model at $38.13 a month. Lastly there’s AT&T’s NEXT 12 (20 months) where subscribers can grab the 32GB model for $37.17 a month or the 64GB model for $45.75 a month.
AT&T also has promotions going for those who purchase the Galaxy S6 Edge+. If you switch from another carrier to AT&T you can receive a $300 bill credit if you already subscribe to either U-Verse or DIRECTV and bundle the service with your wireless plans. In addition AT&T will also offer a $200 promo card for trading in a device whether you’re a new or existing customer. (this goes for each device you trade in as well) Lastly, for customers who switch from another carrier but don’t have U-Verse or DIRECTV subscriptions, they can receive a $100 bill credit and a $200 buyback credit for each phone traded in.
UK
MobileFUN UK has confirmed the availability of the Galaxy S6 Edge+ with pre-orders beginning today. It will be available in the 32GB model in either Black Sapphire or Gold Platinum and will cost a total of $1,091.99 inc. VAT.
Three UK has also confirmed they will be carrying the device, but have not yet mentioned pre-order or availability dates or prices.
Europe
At this point in time there are no availability or pricing details on the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ for Europe
Asia
The Galaxy S6 Edge+ will be available in Asia starting August 21st, with pre-orders beginning today. Pricing and availability will depend on the carriers for each region.
