Galaxy Note 5 Might Launch In Europe On August 28th

Samsung has announced their Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus phablets earlier this month. Both of these devices are premium offerings by Samsung, though they’re somewhat different. They sport almost identical specs on the inside, but the Galaxy Note 5 features the S Pen stylus, unlike the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. Furthermore, the S6 Edge Plus has curved display on both its left and right side, like the Galaxy S6 Edge, while the Galaxy Note 5 sports the regular, not curved display. That being said, reports have been surfacing saying that the Note 5 will not launch in Europe before 2016, and Samsung confirmed that fact. Well, the company might have changed their mind after all, read on.

The Samsung SM-N920F model popped up on Bluetooth.org. On its own, this quite probably doesn’t mean anything to you, but if you consider that the ‘F’ suffix has been used for the European version of Samsung-branded devices in the past, this listing becomes far more interesting. The ‘F’ could actually stand for the global variant of the device, but we cannot be sure at the moment. This model name didn’t surface only on Bluetooth.org though, the number has also popped up in India’s import database. To make things even more interesting, August 28th have been mentioned in Korean media as the European launch date for the Galaxy Note 5. Now, we cannot confirm that this is the European variant of the device just yet, but it sure seems like it. The ‘F’ suffix is actually quite revealing whether we want to admit it or not, and it’s quite possible Samsung either changed their mind, or they were bluffing the whole time.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 features a 5.7-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) Super AMOLED display, 4GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of non-expandable internal storage. Samsung’s newest phablet once again sports the S Pen stylus, but you can’t remove its battery this time around. The company’s Exynos 7420 64-bit octa-core SoC fuels this phablet, and you’ll find the 16-megapixel OIS camera on the back of this device. The 3,000mAh battery is also a part of this package, and the device does offer 4G LTE connectivity, of course. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop comes out of the box here, with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI available on top of Google’s operating system. The Galaxy Note 5 measures 153.2 x 76.1 x 7.6mm, while it weighs 171 grams.
