Meizu has announced their flagship about two months ago. The Meizu MX5 is a direct successor to both the Meizu MX4 and Meizu MX4 Pro, and it’s a very solid device. We’ve already reviewed this phone, in case you’d like to check that out. The MX5 is one of 4 devices this China-based company has announced this year, and also to me powerful one out of the bunch. That being said, the MX5 is currently available only in China, and Meizu has recently scheduled an event in India for August 26th, during which more or less everyone expected them to announce the MX5. Well, that will still happen, but the company has jumped the gun and already announced the availability of the device in India, read on.
This Chinese smartphone OEM has announced that the Meizu MX5 will be available exclusively on Snapdeal. Registrations for the smartphone have actually already on the way, in case you’re interested, follow this link. Meizu still didn’t announce the pricing of the device, nor the exact sale details, they’ll probably reveal everything during the August 26th event in India. The Meizu MX5 is made out of metal, and it features a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) AMOLED display along with 3GB of RAM and 16, 32 or 64GB of non-expandable internal storage. MediaTek’s MT6795 64-bit octa-core SoC fuels this device, and a 3,150mAh non-removable battery is also a part of this package. The 20.7-megapixel camera is available on the back of the Meizu MX5, and a 5-megapixel snapper can be found up front. It is also worth mentioning that the dual-LED, dual tone flash, and a laser autofocus are also placed on the back of this phone. Android Lollipop comes pre-installed on the Meizu MX5 with the company’s Flyme 4.5 UI installed on top of Google’s OS. Meizu MX5 also sports mCharge fast charging tech, and the mTouch 2.0 fingerprint sensor. There are two SIM card slots available in here, and 4G LTE connectivity is also something you can take advantage of.
