Last week, when Samsung announced the Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5, AT&T, Verizon and Sprint all opened up pre-orders and actually started shipping them the following day. T-Mobile wasn’t doing pre-orders and would open up orders on August 21st when the device was going on sale everywhere. However, T-Mobile’s CEO, John Legere came out today on Twitter to say that they are listening and they are opening up orders tomorrow morning. They are not doing pre-orders and will be shipping the phones ASAP. Which means you should still get yours before the end of the week.
So for those looking to pick up the Galaxy Note 5 or the Galaxy S6 Edge+ from T-Mobile, you can order yours tomorrow starting at 6am PT! The Galaxy S6 Edge+ has a 5.66-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED curved display. It also sports the Exynos 7420 processor and 4GB of RAM. T-Mobile will be offering it in 32GB and 64GB models as well. The Galaxy Note 5 has the same specs, except the display is not curved. Instead, the back is curved and it comes with an S Pen. Which has the auto-eject feature. It may not sound like a huge feature, but it is really nice to be able to use. Both models are featuring a 3,000mAh non-removable battery this time around. There is also no microSD card slot on either model.
It’s not clear what colors T-Mobile will have, but they likely won’t have the silver color that everyone is in love with, including me. We’ll likely see the black sapphire, the gold and white colors available.
While you can order yours tomorrow, they still won’t have neither the Galaxy Note 5 or Galaxy S6 Edge+ available in store until Friday. So if you’d rather go and pick yours up from your local T-Mobile store, you’ll have to wait until Friday, August 21st, unfortunately. If you are ordering yours, be sure to pick up a case or two for the new devices. We’ve already posted our Top 10 Cases for the Galaxy Note 5 as well as the Galaxy S6 Edge+. So have a look at those. There are some great looking ones out there.
