Over the past few weeks and months, there has been massive speculation surrounding the upcoming Nexus smartphone(s). It is largely understood that there will be two this year, one made by Huawei and one made by LG. As such, the speculation has been coming thick and fast about both devices. Well, the latest information is coming in from Android Police who state they have been informed of the specs for the upcoming LG Nexus 5 from a “reliable source.”
In terms of the latest specs, the LG Nexus 5 is said to come sporting a 5.2-inch Full HD display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Inside, the Nexus 5 will come loaded with 3GB RAM and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor. In terms of the storage, the Nexus 5 will apparently be available in two size formats, 16GB and 32GB. moving to the camera side of things and the Nexus 5 is rumored to come touting a 12.3-megapixel rear shooter which is coupled with a 5-megapixel front facing camera. Additional features on offer include Type-C USB port as well as a 2,700 mAh battery. While, it is being said, the Nexus 5 will be available in black, white and blue color variants.
A number of these specs might sound a little mid-range or at least, less than flagship, although in reality, this has been the consistent message coming through about the next LG Nexus. Therefore, the inclusion of the Snapdragon 808, 3GB RAM and a 1080p screen are in line with what was beginning to be expected. Not to mention, they were aspects confirmed by other previous rumors. Although, some of those rumors had suggested the display might be a QHD display which according to the latest information will not be the case. Of course, the latest information does not provide any indication of price, although, it does suggest that this will be more affordable priced than the Huawei version is likely to be. Of course, there will be some more modern features like the now-rumored Type-C USB port and it has also been said that a fingerprint scanner will be on offer. Although, that was not confirmed in the latest rumor rounds. Recent rumors have also suggested that the Nexus 5 will become available by September 29th, which was another sentiment echoed in the latest rumors although apparently not confirmed by the source.
