It has been a busy day for those interested in Samsung. The South Korean company held their unpacked event a short while ago in New York City and finally unveiled the Galaxy Note 5. Alongside the Note 5, Samsung also announced the Galaxy S6 Edge+. Not to be one to be left out, T-Mobile has now confirmed that they will be stocking the Galaxy S6 Edge+ on their network.
T-Mobile has confirmed that they will be stocking the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and that it will be available to pre-order before the August 21st in-store stocking date. Not to mention, those interested will be able to check out the device for themselves in store starting from tomorrow. In terms of pricing, T-Mobile will be selling the Galaxy S6 Edge+ through their EIP plan for $0 down and $32.50 per month (for the first 23 months) and $32.49 for the final month. Which equates to a full retail value of $779.99. Alternatively, if you buy before September 30th and through JUMP! On Demand, you can pick up the 32GB Galaxy S6 Edge+ for $0 down and only $28.50 per month on an 18-month contract. In addition, T-Mobile have announced those who pre-order the Galaxy S6 Edge+ through T-Mobile can take advantage of their one year’s free Netflix offer. To do so, you will need to register here by 11.59pm (PT) on August 20th and get the S6 Edge+ by September 30th.
If you missed the earlier announcement then the Galaxy S6 Edge+ is now confirmed as coming with a 5.7-inch Quad HD display (2560 x 1440). On the inside, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ is loaded with much the same specs as the Galaxy Note 5, including 4GB RAM and a Samsung’s own Exynos 7420 octa-core processor. Additional specs on offer include the same 16-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera combo which came equipped with the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. Not to mention, that like the S6 and S6 Edge, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ does not come with a microSD card slot and instead, variants of the device will be available in 32 and 64GB options. Last but not least, everything is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery and the device comes running on Android 5.1.1. on top.
