Alcatel OneTouch have a variety of lines of smartphones that you can choose from right now. That said, one of their more popular smartphone lines is their POP range which adds an element of fun to owning a smartphone. At IFA, the company has already announced one new addition to their POP range in the form of the POP Star and it looks like that won’t be the only new member joining the POP family, as Alcatel OneTouch has also now announced the launch of the more premium POP Up smartphone.
The Alcatel OneTouch POP Up smartphone is one which is designed to offer the user a higher level of specs and performance but balanced with a much more affordable price and is certainly more well-equipped than a number of other devices in this bracket. Not to mention, Alcatel OneTouch has tried to ensure the device’s design is also as premium as can be with the inclusion of aspects like a metal surrounding frame and a 3D spin effect back cover.
In terms of the specs, the Alcatel OneTouch POP Up comes equipped with a 5-inch IPS display with a 1280 x 720 resolution. Inside, the POP Up comes equipped with 2GB RAM and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 610 octa-core processor (clocking at 1.4 GHz). In terms of storage, the POP Up comes equipped with 16GB internal storage as standard and does offer the option to expand, thanks to the inclusion of a microSD card slot (up to 32GB). While in terms of cameras, the POP Up is loaded with a 13-megapixel rear camera which is coupled with a 5-megapixel front-facing option. Everything on the POP Up is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery and the device comes running on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) out of the box. Additional features on offer include WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, Dual-SIM and 4G support.
Although, Alcatel OneTouch has confirmed the specs, they have yet to confirm the price or availability of the Alcatel OneTouch POP Up. That said, they have confirmed that it will be available in a choice of colors, including Black, Riva Blue, Amber Orange, White and Strawberry Red.
