A lot of smartwatches have been unveiled this year. We’ve seen a number of Android Wear smartwatches hit the market, but they are only a part of the whole picture. Many smartphone OEMs have released smartwatches which are not powered by Android or Android Wear, like Alcatel for example. This France-based company has unveiled their OneTouch Watch back in January during CES in Las Vegas. This watch doesn’t run Android Wear, but is compatible with both Android and iOS devices, and it sports a rather sleek design.
Well, the company has just released this smartwatch in India, and it is available exclusively from Flipkart. The Alcatel OneTouch Watch features a 1.22-inch 240 x 240 TFT display with the Oleophobic coating on top. The watch is powered by the STM429 chipset, and a 210mAh battery is included on the inside. This smartwatch is dust and water resistant thanks to the IP67 certification, and it connects to Android 4.3+ and iOS7+ devices via Bluetooth 4.0 which is integrated into this smartwatch. The Alcatel OneTouch Watch ships with Accelerometer, Gyro, Altimeter, E-Compass and Heart-Rate sensors. The watch is 10.5mm thick, measures 41.8mm in diameter, and its wristband is 3.5mm thick, while it is 20mm wide.
