At IFA today, Bose announced their new around the ear wireless SoundLink Headphones II in either White or Black, complete with carrying case. Bose says that they have combined the best in sound quality with a new wireless experience – 15 hours of battery life, multi-point for connecting two devices, quick pairing with NFC and seamless audio/video sync. You can easily switch between music and phone calls and they have easy, intuitive controls, and voice prompts so the user is always in control. The headphones are designed with the mobile user in mind – built to last and light and comfortable so you can wear them for hours and never feel fatigued. They are available today for $279.95 with free shipping, and are available to ship by September 10.
Bernice Cramer, general manager of Bose Wireless Headphones said, “We believe when you give up wires, you shouldn’t have to compromise audio performance or convenience. So, we did more than make the SoundLink II the best-sounding wireless headphones out there. We made them the most hassle-free wireless headphones, too. You’ll notice how great your music sounds first, and then you’ll notice that we solved all the little and big problems that no one else has. That’s the power of great engineering — it makes the entire streaming music experience that much better…We’ve never adjusted how a piece of music will sound when it’s reproduced because it’s not our music — it’s the artist’s music and it’s your music, and our job is to make it sound as good as it can.”
Bose realizes that if you are going to wear their new headphones for long periods of time that you still want to stay connected to the outside world, so they designed them to optimize your phone calls as well. They have an advanced microphone system with HD Voice with adaptive audio adjustment to provide you with a clear call even on windy days or in a noisy environment. There enhanced sidetone makes your voice sound more natural on the other end – listeners will never know you are wearing a headphone.
Bose also considered your need to switch back and forth between two Bluetooth devices – say you are watching a movie on your tablet and a phone call comes in…the headphones will automatically pause the video, allow you to answer your phone call and then pick up where you left off in your movie. You will never miss a thing.
The original Bose SoundLink on-ear wireless headphones will remain available on their website for $249.95 and supplement the new model.
