Just recently, two new Lenovo smartphones have received a certification of approval from the Telecommunications Equipment Certification Center MIIT (TENAA) of China. These two models, the Lenovo Vibe K51c78 and PB1-750N are considerably alike in design to the very first Motorola-made Lenovo smartphone, the Vibe X3. The specifications were listed in the TENAA’s website along with the Lenovo Vibe X3’s. Lenovo has been trying its best to improve its line of devices ever since it had bought over Motorola. It has been constantly seen trying to improve its image of being a low-end smartphone manufacturer to compete with other established Asian smartphone companies such as Samsung, Asus, and Xiaomi. With these two new models, the K51c78 and the PB1-750, it hopes to attract new customers with better specifications for a cheaper price.
The Lenovo Vibe K51c78 has an operating frequency of 2G, 3G, 4G LTE and TD-LTE. It has a 2GB RAM, a 16GB internal memory which is expandable up to 32GB and has a 1.3 GHz Octa-Core. It runs Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) along with Lenovo Vibe UI. The device has dimensions of 153 — 75.9 — 8.7 mm and a weight of 152 grams. The front camera contains 5 megapixels and the rear contains 13 megapixels with dual-tone flash. It has a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touch-screen display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It contains a myriad of functions which consists of an accelerometer, gyro sensor, proximity sensor, and compass. The body of the device is available in white, black, silver, and gold.
The Lenovo PB1-750N’s specifications are quite similar to that of the Lenovo Vibe K51c78’s with only some variations. It has dimensions of 185 x 97 x 8.5 mm and a weight of 250 grams. The rear camera is equipped with LED flash and it has a 7-inch capacitive touch-screen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The body of the device is only available in black. The device is is considered a phablet (a phablet is a smartphone that has a screen that has a size in between an average smartphone and a tablet computer e.g. an iPad) and is a rather lower grade version of the Lenovo PB1-700N, according to the model specifications that were released last week by the TENAA.
